Greetings ladies!
We are still focusing on the book of the prophets.
This week, we are discussing the book of Micah. Micah was a prophet that warned the kings of the land that Assyria will take out the Northern kingdom and that after them Babylon would also bring a destruction. Micah spoke to the people of Israel about how they have rebelled and he warned the people about God's judgements.
He also had a message of hope for the people so that they could turn from wickedness and that God will restore.
One thing about the God we serve is that God restores but God is also a God of judgement. The judgement comes to bring repentance.
Have you ever known anyone who was so stubborn in their ways and/or hard-headed that they needed something bad to happen in order for them to get the message? Well, God had to bring judgement so that they people could wake up and get the message that God is their God and for them to turn from their wicked ways,
