Study To Be Victorious

Hey ladies!

I am super excited about this challenge of reading God's Word with you! I believe that it takes consistency when you are building a relationship with anyone. That relationship of building is to get to know the other person. It is the same way with Jesus.

As you read the Bible, you are creating an atmosphere wherever you are to build a relationship with him. You are communing with him daily and he is communing with you. The Bible tells us that as we draw near to God, He will draw near to you.

I have came up with a few tips for you so that you are able to be a champion on your bible study challenge.

1. Manage Your Time. Put aside time to eat the word. Wake up an hour earlier or stay up an hour late to commune with Jesus. Break your reading up in 2 parts of the day (strategize).

2. Find A Quiet Area. If you can't, still push yourself to read.

3. Eat the Word. Read it daily to commune with Jesus daily. It is more effective to commune daily as this builds a strong relationship with Jesus. Scripture tells us that Jesus calls us friend (Read John 15:15). Friend means we talk everyday.

4. Journal Your Thoughts. When you read the Word, whatever comes to your mind, write it down. God is always speaking :-)

5. Block out all distractions (cell phones, turn off television, situate the small children before reading, etc). Recognize what are YOUR distractions and eliminate them.

6. Listen to the Bible. Like literally! It is ok to turn on your favorite Bible app and listen to the scriptures as you are riding in your car to and from work, while cleaning your home or right before you go to bed. Do not stop your busy life keep you from listening to the Bible. Remember, faith comes from hearing the word of God! (Romans 10:17)

Reflect and Respond:

So, ARE you ready? Where are you doing YOUR Bible Study Challenge each week and how are you using it? Is there anything else you like to do to be prepped?
