Hey ladies!
The book of Judges tells the story of Israels corrupt leaders and complete failure to keep covenant with the Lord our God. Remember back in Exodus the Lord delivered his chosen children from the stubborn and rebellious hand of Pharoah? And then He was their provider for the 40 year journey out in the wilderness? But they would whine and complain about what they could not see because they were young in their faith. Many of them worshiped pagan gods and did not have a strong relationship with the Lord.
In the books of Leviticus through Deutoronomy, we read how the Lord deals with his children to set them apart from all other nations. He gives Moses all the Laws and commands that they must obey and love the Lord their God. Doing this was their change of lifestyle into a lifestyle of worship and honor to the Lord. But the book of Judges shows how they did not listen and obey the Lord. They conquered the land God promised them but did not keep all of the Lord's commands.
How interesting that when we are delivered, healed and set free that we can easily forget what God did for us once we have moved into our land of Canaan. Your deliverance was a moment that God gives you so that you are a walking testimony and to give God your all; all of your heart, all of your mind, all of your body so that you can do what you were created to do for Him.
